needless to say, my husband does not and never will drink coffee, so we don't have a coffee maker. what i have been using up to this point is a sad little plastic cone brewer, which was a total bummer when i had my parents + aunt in town over christmas who are big coffee drinkers.
so, since christmas especially, i have been thinking about making an upgrade. while i'm not quite ready (nor will i ever really be) for the likes of a beast like this, i'm thinking that something like the following are right up my alley.
of course while i was looking around i happened to find this amazing tea brewer (honestly, i didn't know that such a thing exists). get this: it lowers the tea leaves into the water once it reaches the optimal temperature, and then lifts them out after the ideal steeping time. hello, love!!!
for now i think that i will stick with one of the simple coffee makers above to get my fix.

Ahhh! I love my chemex, I highly recommend it. It takes an extra minute, but is so worth it.
ReplyDeletegood to know, especially as that is what i'm leaning towards.
Deleteis it sad that i'm particularly drawn to it because it looks so beautiful in photographs too? ;)
what the what? that fancy tea brewer looks insane! how did I not know this existed? :)
